Webinar #19: What could work-time reductions mean for the rest of the world?

For this European Work-Time Network’s webinar, we are joined by Suryadeepto Nag who is a graduate researcher at the University of Lausanne to discuss how work-time reduction could impact the Global South.

Suryadeepto Nag is a graduate researcher at the University of Lausanne working on questions related to labour, international trade, and unequal exchange, as a part of the REAL – A Post-Growth Deal project funded by the European Research Commission. Suryo has a background in development economics and currently works on studying inequality in hours worked around the world and labor and macroeconomic policies to fix inequalities.

The event was hosted online at 1pm Brussels time on Wednesday 26th November 2025.
